The old way of sprinkler maintenance...

First, turn on the sprinkler system and flag the heads that need repair. Then turn off the sprinkler and go back to the flagged heads. In order to find the sprinkler heads, you may have to dig around in the mud & grass and pull them up using pliers, a screwdriver or your fingers. You have to hold the stem with one hand and try to do the necessary repairs with your other hand. If the stem slips from your fingers, you have to start all over, which waste even more time! Also, flushing sprinkler lines works great while the water is on and being forced through the system, but once the water is turned off the stems drop down to ground level (or even lower). This allows dirt and mud to get back into the system since the sprinkler heads are off.

If your system needs flushing, just clip on multiple “POPUPHOLDUP™ s”, remove the nozzles, turn on the system and let the water flow. The stems stay up out of the mud and are ready for the filters and nozzles to be replaced.
